Now it's time to get to work. Let's hope the commission members will be diligent to move quickly to get the delivery infrastructure in place, because hurting Georgians are waiting. But I wonder why no parent advocates were named to the commission?? #gapol
A new law allowing companies to grow and sell medical marijuana in Georgia for the first time has stalled for the last 6+ months because no members of an oversight commission were appointed. That just changed, with the state’s top leaders tapping members of the panel. #gapol

Wait is over. But no parent/patient advocate is disappointing. Especially after how hard we worked for 6 sessions to make this happen. @SafeAccessGA (Georgia’s Hope) still has a lot of work to do to make sure patients are the top priority of the commission. #gapol #cannabis

Passed Senate 44-8! It’s not exactly what we want, but now the House and Senate can hopefully come together in conference committee. Please continue calling Lieutenant Governor Duncan’s office to ask for him to help us get a better bill. #gapol #hb324 oneclickpolitics.global.ssl.…

The Georgia Senate passes HB 324 (Georgia’s Hope Act). It deals with the in-state cultivation and distribution of medical cannabis oil. It includes 2 in-state cultivators and 28 dispensaries. It involves UGA and FVSU to research and procure low THC oil. #gapol #GPBLawmakers

Hi Lt Gov Duncan. I suffer from intractable pain and it’s a shame that I cannot legally acquire medication in the state and thus must suffer pain every day because I refuse to take opioids Bc those could kill me. This bill needs a lot of help if it’s going to help me.

Suffering children and adults do not have time to wait! We need a bill that will actually help them this session! Changes must be made to restore this bill to what it was.
