An important day for divorcing couples today as we mark the end of the blame game.
Thank you to all those who have supported our campaign over the years, and all members talking to the press and public today about this vital change.
#NoFaultDivorce
From today no-fault divorce is being introduced to marriages and civil partnerships.
The new law removes the need for a reason or a 'blame game', allowing one spouse or the couple jointly to make a statement of irretrievable breakdown.

We've just published a #NoFaultDivorce update ahead of 6 April. As @MoJGovUK creates a new online process to accommodate the changes, members should be aware of important cut off dates for applications under the existing system.
