Guys I need your help When I promoted my housekeeper to cooking duties in 2020 after covid, we had one simple rule - if you cook nonsense, you take it home to feed your family. Not me. And this arrangement has worked well for about 5 years. But lately, the volume of food going home has become rather suspicious. I know there’s economic hardship, but Ify is a woman of integrity so I’m not accusing anybody of anything oh. Yet. I’m just trying to understand why the frequency of failed meals seems to be increasing at such an interesting time in our economy. Should I say something ? 🌚

This is the dumbest take I’ve heard all year. And it’s been a crazy year 🤯 Let me dismantle this argument using the same analogy, with one correction. A family earns 50k (But instead of 5k going missing, 40k disappears - a much closer illustration of reality). You’re poor. Yes! But poverty is your condition. Corruption is the biggest problem keeping you trapped in poverty. That missing 40k is the money meant to fund education, skill acquisition, productive assets, building a business or creating opportunities that would actually help you earn more and escape poverty. But instead, you’re left with 10k and somehow being told by this lad that your biggest problem is that you don’t earn enough. Even if you believe him and your income rises to 500k tomorrow, is it not 400k that will still disappear ? Even scripture recognises that “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much” (Luke 16:10) Now. Revenue doesn’t fall from heaven. It comes from productivity, investment and value creation, all of which depend on the very resources that corruption is stealing. And even if you miraculously generate more revenue, there’s no amount of money that can save you from institutionalized corruption. We’ve seen people inherit enormous wealth and end up bankrupt because they couldn’t manage what was already in their hands. If you cannot account for what you already have, earning more simply gives you more to squander. I genuinely hope Seun challenged this, because I cannot imagine allowing someone to spew such nonsense with this level of confidence.

I asked my UI/UX designer to design a website for a product we're building for the informal economy. This auntie went and found what I can only describe as the most poverty-stricken images on the internet 😂 And I get it. Totally. But my mind works differently. Why must every mechanic look like he's suffering ? Every market woman, angry by default ? I want to see them in their dream selves. The beautiful, confident market woman. The handsome professional mechanic looking like he owns the entire workshop. People who are proud of their work. So naturally, we've been using AI to create some beautiful, aspirational portraits of our everyday workers. There's a difference between understanding your customer and reducing them to their circumstances. And I suspect a lot of brands have been confusing the two for a very long time.

Getting kicked out of a @ChatGPT conversation after days of intense brainstorming with absolutely zero warning is insane. @OpenAI @sama how is this still a thing? At least warn us when we’re approaching conversation limits so we can consolidate our thinking and prepare a proper handoff. If we’re keeping it a buck, starting a new chat is practically talking to an entirely new person. You lose the nuance, reasoning, and chemistry of the original conversation. This is a serious UX gap. Give us advance warnings and seamless conversation continuity ASAP 🤞🏾
