South Tyneside Against Bullying

Today South Tyneside Against Bullying were approached by PA Media for an official statement and comments on the Home Secretary’s bullying inquiry. Our groups Founder @Callum_STyneAB issued the following which will be used in the PA Media’s coverage this evening.

IMPORTANT: It has been brought to our attention that a very graphic and disturbing video of an individual sadly taking their own life is being widely shared and circulated on the social media site and app @tiktok_uk #TikTok 1/4 #InternetSafety

Today is Youth Mental Health Day and as many young people across South Tyneside are returning to school we want to pay tribute to our 30 youth mental health first aiders we trained last year in parternship with @LNER to support children and young people. #YouthMentalHealthDay

What amazing memories we have. 4 years ago we won Community Group of the Year at the Best of South Tyneside Awards. Incredible achievement for all of our teams over the past few years.

Yesterday we all received the heartbreaking news that’s shocked us all. The news that a beautiful young lady with an infectious smile had sadly taken her own life.
