No it's quite simple, respect the coaches decision and humble yourself and apologize. If there are other options then they should be suggested by the coach and not the kids or their parents nor through intervention from the admin. Coaches were right not to budge on this.

They didn't win anything, the coaches are much better off with their integrity in tact, and away from that toxic culture.

This should probably happen a lot more. Most coaches would fold, but when you take a job you need to be willing to leave it if some basic values are not respected.

I remember being in a meeting at work to discuss the new "improved" benefit package. First thing they said was there were no changes to the old package, they then spent the next 90 minutes going over all the changes in the new package, all while reminding us every couple of minutes that there weren't any changes. It was like a blatant attempt to brain wash into not believing our own eyes and ears. LOL!!
