The Oyo State Police Command has arrested three suspects allegedly linked to the deadly attack on a family of six at Oloba Village in Lagelu Local Government Area of Ibadan.
According to the police, the suspects invaded the residence of Ifeanyi Chukwu and his family on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, armed with a Dane gun, cutlasses and a club.
During the attack, two children were allegedly tied up and thrown into a nearby river. Efforts to recover the children are still ongoing.
The suspects siblings Akinbami Ahmed and Akinbami Ojo, alongside Padonu Edward, all residents of Oloba Village? were arrested following intelligence received by the Command on October 2, 2026, in connection with the September 22 attack.
The police said investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and the suspects’ alleged involvement.
