LeBron is almost 42 years old.. him being a little rusty and potentially not “100%” in terms of in season shape would not be shocking.. there were also reports that LeBron is still dealing with sciatica and just overall problems with his body; having to prepare way more than usual I’m expecting LeBron to have rotational minutes with Dean Wade. In terms of matchup, facing the reigning champs on their home floor, crowd is going to be buzzing and celebrities will be shining.. LeBron should be guarded by likely Josh Hart who’s not at all a bad defender and the Knicks in general weren’t a terrible defensive team last season.. loss some size/rim protection with Robinson gone, but they now have Drummond who’s always been solid on the inside Moral of pick, LeBron is old and in a completely different role. Most stacked team he’s ever been on, Maxey and Brown are in their prime, could argue Embiid is still in his prime when he’s healthy, all 3 are 30+ ppg scorers as the number 1 option. ^ Also adding that they have VJ who’s not at all a bad scorer/player. Expecting LeBron just to play his role. High assists, score when he needs to, rebound the ball and be in rotation with Dean Wade. Minutes (once again) could be in the low 30s with this being the first game of the season. Knicks also attacking LeBron on defence wouldn’t surprise me which could make him more tired.
