WAGOLL: S2 scientists demonstrating fabulous graph skills when presenting data. Scale ✅ Labels ✅ Units ✅ Ruler ✅ Plots ✅ @StThomasAqSec

Our Senior physicists did the school and themselves proud at the WoSPEG physics competition semi-finals, coming second in their group, and scoring 19/20 in the written section. Many thanks to the staff at WoSPEG and Glasgow Caledonian University. @StThomasAqSec @MrsFarrellDHT

WAGOLL: Some amazing results achieved by S2 scientists during the experiment showing neutralisation by dilution. Excellent work following the multiple instructions and accurate measurement of solutions @StThomasAqSec

Excellent use of red cabbage indicator to create a colourful set of results from which S2 pupils were able to identify which substances were acid, alkali or neutral. @StThomasAqSec

Huge congratulations to our new school dux for 2024! Well done Barbod! An outstanding young man! @StThomasAqSec @MrsRitchieSTA @MrsFarrellDHT @meehan_miss

What a turnout for our Senior Phase Awards Ceremony 💛🤍🖤 @StThomasAqSec @MrsFarrellDHT @MrsRitchieSTA @meehan_miss

Brilliant Scottish opening to our Senior Award Ceremony from our piper! 💕🎶🎶 @StThomasAqSec @MrsFarrellDHT @MrsRitchieSTA @meehan_miss

S2 & S1 pupils had a fab time learning about generating electricity, circuits and engineering at the BAE roadshow event. Thank you very much to the team from BAE, RAF & Royal Navy for an inspiring show & to Mr Houston and Mr Carrick who got some extra exercise! @StThomasAqSec

S3 scientists getting practical investigating how many turbine blades generate the greatest voltage. Turns out it also depends on the angle and position of the blades! Great co-operative working S3. @StThomasAqSec

S2 STEM wider achievement class discussing and ranking the skills needed to be a good leader and then testing their communication skills by describing and image for their team mate to draw. @StThomasAqSec @STAwiderattain1

Mrs Chrystie was buzzing after the higher physics class worked meticulously to get the best set of measurements ensuring reliable and accurate results during the investigation of acceleration and angle of slope. Great team work class. @StThomasAqSec @MrsFarrellDHT

Our super physicists held their nerve on the buzzer rounds making it through to the semi-finals of the annual WoSPEG physics competition and did some super cool experiments using liquid nitrogen! Thanks to all University of West of Scotland @StThomasAqSec @MrsFarrellDHT

Doc C’s S4 Chemists made superb dilution series for alkalis & acids! Impressive accuracy in practical techniques girls! 💕 @StThomasAqSec @meehan_miss

Happy retirement to our beloved Doc A (Doctor Alzuherri) from all in #TeamScience @StThomasAqSec @meehan_miss @Mr_Henry_STA
