File this one under "That should never happen in a functioning country." Sgt Price of the Mena, Arkansas police department knocks out a father who had his hands in the air in the "surrender position" and was in no way a threat to the officer nor was he committing any crime. TO MAKE IT WORSE - the local prosecutor had this video evidence and still prosecuted Mr. Corristan (the father) in July and secured a CONVICTION on "interference with a law enforcement officer" charge.. So, the father in this video was convicted of a crime and the officer that commits felony assault against him STILL has not be charged with any crime and is still employed by the department. Two days ago, the police chief put out a statement (end of the video) that is itself disturbing. Notably, there's no mention of any disciplinary action nor arrest of the violent felon with a badge seen assaulting Mr. Corristan on camera.
