Today, I stopped by the Precinct Cafe to present Liz Lafferty with a proclamation in honor of her retirement as the Superintendent of the Adams County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Liz’s work has been invaluable to the county, and I wish her luck in future endeavors!
Yesterday, our interns got the opportunity to meet with the Union County Veterans Service Commission to discuss STABLE Account. Then they visited leadership from @UCO_Industries and spoke with several accountholders.

Last week, our team attended the Treasury Management Training Symposium hosted by @StateTreasurers. This was a great opportunity to connect with other offices, share challenges, and explore innovative policy approaches.
As our STABLE program hits its 10 year anniversary, we’re proud to celebrate 10 years of empowerment, independence, and security!
#STABLEAccount has expanded eligibility to anyone whose age of onset for their disability is before the age of 46. We hope that many of our military veterans can now take advantage of all of the benefits STABLE Account has to offer.

It’s amazing to see how much the program has grown in the ten years since its launch. I look forward to seeing how it continues to grow.
Today, our team attended Developmental Disabilities Awareness and Advocacy Day. The theme this year was The Power of Support, and we were able to share the many ways #STABLEAccount can help support individuals living with a disability on their road to a better financial future.
March is National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month!
#STABLEAccount is proud to help individuals living with disabilities lead independent, fulfilling lives by empowering them to save and invest without losing important benefits.
As of January 1, 2026, the federal ABLE Age Adjustment Act has extended eligibility for ABLE accounts by raising the age of disability onset from 26 to 46. This will allow many more individuals to save and invest without losing their benefits.
