Really sad to see this. Jason covered the @pdxwinterhawks when I did. Always enjoyed seeing him at games and getting to talk. Condolences to his family and friends.
Covering the Thorns tonight and if you're wondering how it's going Sophia Wilson got a red card for a hair pull and 14th-place Boston is up 2-0 including a shot that was going way wide getting deflected in for an own goal. Thorns headed toward 4th straight winless home game.
This is probably the most I've seen a crowd turn on a referee since the Winterhawks crowd in the 2011 WHL final.
My alma mater blowing Penn State out of an $800 million stadium with Chip Kelly running the wing T is not something I ever thought I was going to see #Northwestern
I talked to Portland State coach Chris Fisk about getting his first win, trying to build a program and that Oregon game

They have no support, exiled in a stadium that’s not theirs, haven’t been over .500 in 11 years. I don’t fault the players who are trying to compete, it just doesn’t seem like there’s ever a real foundation for success there.
Too much is being made of Oregon scoring a bunch and not enough is being made of Portland State’s inability to be even the slightest bit competitive. It’s tough to figure out what PSU is trying to accomplish with their program right now.
If there's a separate clock somewhere that's more official than the one we see on TV a lot of people owe soccer an apology
Or, the rules are fine and Olson can throw the ball to where his teammate’s glove was and not directly into the runner’s head.
Yo @MLB you might wanna take a look at your rules in the off-season and reevaluate things like this. This is common sense interference
Scorers often get criticized for correct decisions by people who don't understand the rules and the rationale for how we follow them. Decisions like this that are pretty obviously wrong just fuel the conspiracy theories that MLB is manipulating scoring for more hits to be given.
