Celebrating Native American Heritage Month by honoring John Herrington (Chickasaw Nation). He was the first Native American astronaut to travel to space.
Herrington flew aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour to the International Space Station, where he conducted experiments and symbolically carried the Chickasaw Nation flag.
