Some people haven't realised our last comment was an attempt at humour. It does highlight the trade in balance. Meet the Authors started with their books and touched on decolonisation and future relations between England, Scotland and Europe. #SSRGConference2026

Kevin has been posted pro Union anti Scottish comments for years with Sam Taylor. Scotland according to them is uniquely poor and couldn't survive without London taking all the taxes and using it's asset. Other countries of similar size are doing much better. Norway & Ireland

No as others have also identified the £150 Billion figure. You should ask the #SNP why they haven't raised the issue. Here's last year's speech at our previous conference. youtu.be/Azohp0WXtAQ?si=NqjF…

That's based on the current situation inside the Union. What it exposes is that the cost of the Union is very high and that Scotland would be financially better off as a independent country. This has been explained by Professor Alf Baird at the SSRG Conferences.

Blocked for name calling. Why are unionists unable to make a positive case for the union? Instead all they offer is claims Scotland can't survive without them taking all the taxes and handing back a portion of the revenue.
Story reporting on the #SSRGConference2026 in the @ScotNational. Thousands have watched the live recordings so far on the SSRG TV YouTube Channel.

The two main characters who are involved in "These Islands" are both self confessed unionists. They post opinions and comments as part of a campaign to undermine Scotland the Scottish people and downplay Scotland's right to Self Determination. Sam Taylor & Kevin Hague.

Never said any such thing. It's a fact that electricity generated in Scotland is connected to the NG and Scotland is charged a higher fee for the privilege & then is charged higher prices for sending the electricity to consumers in Scotland. Scotland is a net exporter of energy.
