This custom wallet carries a little extra love: her own handwriting engraved alongside their wedding date. Such a thoughtful gift, and I’m grateful I got to help bring it to life.

Sometimes you are left speechless by art and words, it’s rare when both come together. I received a RAK today that left me speechless because of how perfect it is, how thoughtful it was, and how meaningful it is.
First, go follow @SRoe86, because Sarah creates some of the most stunning pieces of functional art that you will ever come across. The wallets, money clips, notebooks, and more are simply amazing. She also has a great heart and willingness to give back.
I’ll post the letter in the added tweet that tells the story of this wallet, but let me tell you mine.
@Kenny_Lofton7 (front): My all time favorite baseball player and is the reason I fell in love with baseball. The man is a legend in Cleveland and all across baseball, I’m glad I got to watch him play.
Bob Feller (back): As a young pitcher I looked throughout history of who I could study. I quickly landed on Feller and it didn’t hurt that he played for the Indians. He was an America hero and living legend for the game.
Chief Wahoo: I lived and died with the Indians though 100 win seasons and 100 loss seasons. To have a hometown team to call your own is priceless. I got to pitch off the mound of Jacobs Field before Bill Clinton did in 1994, and it was to Sandy Alomar Jr. with Charlie Nagy watching. I witnessed the name change and grew with it with my son turning in to a fan of the Guardians.

This is something that will remain with me and most likely be buried with me. The group of people that made this happen is just truly incredible. Thank you!
This little coin pouch has been in Carl’s pocket every single day for 18 years. But its story began before he owned it. ❤️
Around 2001, Carl was hiking in the Smoky Mountains when an older hiker stopped at his shelter to rest. As they talked, the man set a worn coin pouch down beside him. Carl was fascinated by it. The hiker told him his wife had given it to him, and that it had traveled every inch of the Appalachian Trail with him.
The man moved on after a short visit, but Carl never forgot him or that pouch.
Years later, Carl’s wife and their five-year-old son Bryce were at a local penny candy store when they spotted a brand-new pouch just like it. Bryce bought it, wrapped it up, and gave it to his dad for Christmas in 2008.
Carl has carried it every day since. 🥹
After 18 years in his pocket, it needed some care to keep going. Carl trusted me to repair it, and I added a piece of vintage football leather as part of its next chapter.
I love making things from old sports materials, but what I care about most is preserving the stories people carry with them. This pouch holds a chance meeting on a trail, a Christmas morning, and a gift from a little boy to his dad. It was an honor to help Carl keep carrying it.
