I had clinic today at the women’s health center. All my patients’ chief complaint this afternoon? The overturn of Roe v Wade.
I’ve loved you for a lifetime. I’ve missed you for 13 years now. You will forever be my favorite…

I am grateful for Martin Tobin today. Watch his entire testimony to learn what happened to George Floyd in his last minutes of life. It is scientifically accurate while also exemplifying what it means to bear witness to another’s suffering.
“To most people this doesn’t look terribly significant but to a physiologist this is extraordinarily significant because this tells you that he has used up his resources and he’s literally trying to breath with his fingers and knuckles,” -Dr. Martin Tobin testimony. #DerekChauvin

It began with one dot. Then it grew to nearly half a million. A graphic on Sunday’s front page depicts the totality of Covid’s devastation in the U.S. nyti.ms/3qKEbpl

On a day for the history books, @TheAmandaGorman delivered a poem that more than met the moment. Young people like her are proof that "there is always light, if only we're brave enough to see it; if only we're brave enough to be it."

Last year on this day ⁦⁦@612Gravy⁩ and I flipped and totaled a car in Chile thanks to a rouge airborne tree. No injuries. Great reminder to be thankful for your health. And first responders! #StayHomeForThanksgiving
Tough times with Covid make me so grateful for moments like this. Happy 5 years @612Gravy. Healthcare workers are struggling, help us take care of you. Stay home. Wear a mask 😷. We can celebrate again soon if we do the work needed now.

1500 Americans died yesterday of covid. Why are we allowing this to happen every day? Why are we allowing our healthcare and frontline workers to be abused in this way? When we are resistant to putting on mask, we must think of these heroes and protecting them. Please, be a hero.

And please don't let it slip by you that tonight the President of the Untied States refused to condemn white supremacy--not once, not twice but several times when given the opportunity while telling white supremacist groups to "stand down and stand by". #Debate2020

I don’t often jump on social media trains but I will for #MedBikini. Great reminder that clothing, gender, skin color, etc doesn’t impact the level of care provided to patients. I will skillfully evacuate an abdomen full of mucinous carcinoma, even if I wear a bikini in a pool.

In a 6-3 ruling, the Court found that Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 should be interpreted to protect against workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. Thank you Aimee Stephens and the countless others who have committed to this fight.
