How might #coronavirus impact shopper behaviour longer term? blog.shopperretailinsight.co…
It’s all about the chemistry..
The @maryportas opinion piece in the FT hits the nail on the head "The retail behemoths had come to rely on the physics (how fast, how big and often how cheap) of their business, but underestimated the chemistry. They were out of touch"
The idea that this crisis will destroy physical retail is garbage. Sure, some things may change. But we are social creatures. Going shopping is, and always has been, much more than about acquiring stuff. If anything, more people appreciate that now than a month ago. – at Scottsdale, AZ

Nice to see some good news and genuine gratitude for retail workers at this tough time. Nice one @AldiUK 👏🏻👏🏻
Presumably this is what our in store experience will look like for quite a while now. Would be good to understand how compliant shoppers are being thegrocer.co.uk/convenience/…
Love these - logos adapted to support social distancing messaging #keepyourdistance #socialdistancing cnn.com/2020/03/26/business/…
These initiatives are great, but possibly need a level of policing to ensure the right people are benefiting
From today, all our stores (except Express stores) will be prioritising the elderly and most vulnerable for one hour between 9am and 10am every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Because now, more than ever, #EveryLittleHelps.
👍👏🏻@IcelandFoods
Iceland Foods at Kennedy Centre, West Belfast will be opening their store between 8-9am for the elderly starting this Tuesday. The wider public are asked to respect this hour as it has been allocated for elderly people only. Would be great to see other stores now do the same 👏
Perhaps we will start to see toilet paper pop ups fill vacant high street stores across the UK? A great new anchor store solution for all the Debs and HoF’s closing down??? Ridiculous behaviour by some people - panic buying madness.
Sharon White indicates that John Lewis's Never Knowingly Undersold price promise is up for reivew as she says "quality and value" important to the group but may come in a "more modernised form".. watch this space..
