Julia Wall, PT, PhD, and Angelina Hibberd, OTD, presented their work on transcutaneous spinal stimulation (TSS) at the Barrow Neurological Symposium. Thank you @barrowneuro for inviting us to share a topic we are very passionate about!
It was a pleasure to showcase our research programs within the INSPIRE Lab and the Travis Roy Center for Enhanced Independence at the 2026 World Medical Innovation Forum. Thanks to Noah Piazza, Dianne Vitkus, Julia Gangemi, Molly Manning, Tess Meier, PhD, and the team!
Join us next Wednesday (10/21) as we welcome Dr. Karim Fouad, Canada Research Chair, for October's SCI Discovery Guest Lecture! We are looking forward to hearing about his exciting work with cellular mechanisms and how they can expand opportunities for rehabilitation!
Hello from sunny Florida! Randy, Naama, and Tess flew down to participate in the Therapeutic AIH Workshop: Exploring the Impact of Neuromodulation Strategies hosted by @ufbreathe. So many inspiring research scientists determined to get neuromodulation techniques closer to clinic!
Congratulations to another BO2ST-II finisher! That's six weeks of intensive gait training in the books. We are always so impressed by our participants' commitment to advancing walking recovery after SCI. #SCIresearch
We had an amazing time at Community Access Day, hosted by @spauldingrehab! Connecting with everyone and showcasing promising advances in SCI research was a real highlight. And of course, our robot (Stretch) stole the show!
We couldn't let a little rain keep us from enjoying a Red Sox win at SCI Awareness Day! A big thank you to @sciboston for hosting one of our favorite events ⚾️ #SCIawarenessmonth #goredsox
Our SCI Discovery Lecture Series is back! Join us on Teams this Wednesday at 8am EST. Link: buff.ly/flfq4r4
Our awesome Postdoctoral Fellows Dr. Naama Nijk, MD, and Tess Meier, Ph.D. presented their work at the Mass General Brigham Neuroscience Institute Research Day! #SCIresearch #MGB #WomeninSTEM #Neuroscience
We're proud to share we completed one of the Northeast's first epidural implants to treat blood pressure instability. This milestone was possible thanks to our collaboration with Onward Medical and the Neurosurgery team at Brigham and Women's Hospital. #SCIresearch #spinalstim
We were fortunate to host some amazing scientists this year as part of our SCI Discovery Lecture Series. Did you know you can access the recordings on our website?
It brightens our day when we get to reconnect with INSPIRE Lab study alumni! #SCIresearch
You may have noticed our lab looking a little different these days! We love having extra floor space for obstacle courses. All of our high intensity gait training sessions within the BO2ST-II trial address speed, endurance, and balance. Thank you to another BO2ST-II participant!
Dr. Naama Nijk presented at the 2026 International Symposium of Neural Regeneration (ISNR)! It was exciting to learn how emerging pre-clinical findings can be translated into therapies that improve recovery after spinal cord injury. #ISNR2026
Congrats to Dr. Tess Meier, for receiving the @steppingstrong1 Innovator Award for her work with robotics and SCI!! We're looking forward to getting started on this exciting project! #womeninrobotics
Thank you, @spauldingrehab, for featuring us! We are proud to be part of a team where curiosity, collaboration, compassion, and scientific rigor are key ingredients for success. buff.ly/MfDZif0
Let's hear it for another BO2ST-II finisher! If you're new to our research, our BO2ST-II study sessions start with a breathing treatment, followed by transcutaneous spinal stimulation while engaging in high-intensity gait training with a licensed therapist for 6 weeks.
It was so fun to meet Enchanted Tools and one of their Mirokaï robots! Enchanted Tools is a French start-up company building AI-powered human-ready robots for care environments. We are always on the lookout for tech that could make a difference for individuals with paralysis!
Join us tomorrow for our SCI Discovery Lecture Series!
