Day 4 of our SPECTRA course in Swindon yesterday and the focus was on the 5 Ways to Wellbeing. Activities gave learners the chance to connect with each other and discussed the importance for us all, both at work and in our personal life, to take some time to look after 'me'.

Day 3 of our Swindon SPECTRA and the focus was on First Aid. The sessions looked at what to do if you come across an unconscious casualty, the recovery position, CPR, defib training and choking. Well done to all learners who now have basic lifesaver training.

Day 2 of our Swindon SPECTRA course and we were delighted to welcome @HSWilts to meet the learners and talk about the role of a High Sheriff. The day involved more search and rescue sessions, road traffic collision scenarios and some complex hose work. Great work everyone!!

Make sure you fit smoke alarms in the right place and on every level of your home. You should also test them every month! #HomeSafety #HSW21 #TestItTuesday #PressToTest

Now it’s September, thoughts turn to lighting the fire or stove to make your home warmer and more cosy – but please get your chimney swept and checked by a qualified person first, you won’t want to have to call us for a fire! #ChimneyFireSafetyWeek #CSFW2021 @hetas_uk

Good morning Check out the you tube link below to see some of the ways that @DWFireRescue continues to provide a response and support during the current pandemic... There may even be a little mention of #Salamander #SPARC and #Cadets ... yay!!! youtube.com/watch?time_conti…
You should only leave your home for essentials such as food or medicine, for work, or to exercise. #StayHomeSaveLives If you do leave your house, #KeepYourDistance and stay at least 2 metres (about three steps) from others.

Never enter the water to rescue your dog – who will rescue you? Most dogs manage to scramble out, many owners are not so lucky #BeWaterAware #WaterSafety #Dogs #Walking #Dorset #Wiltshire
