Opening this Eid, Jazeera Aqua Park in #Mogadishu 🇸🇴 is fully Somali-owned, with new rides, hotels, and expansions planned for next Eid. In a region where private ownership dominates beaches and resorts, Somalia is showing what locally controlled development can look like. Unlike much of Africa, where foreign companies often control resorts, this park and beach belong to the people. It’s a rare example of locals leading reconstruction, creating spaces that benefit citizens directly, and proving Somalia can rebuild on its own terms. Jazeera Aqua Park isn’t just entertainment—it’s a symbol of a future where development serves the population, not outsiders, and a first step toward a new model for Africa.

Sudanese celebrating Somalia’s independence is not a new sight.
This connection did not begin in 2026.
It did not begin in 1960.
It goes back to the 1800s.
Across the Red Sea, Sudanese scholars, traders, and families settled in Somali cities long before modern borders existed. They built lives here. They prayed here. They traded here. They became part of the social fabric.
So today’s arrival of Sudanese families into Somalia is not something unfamiliar.
It is history continuing itself.
From the 1800s…
To 1960 independence celebrations…
To today.
The bond between 🇸🇴 Somalia and 🇸🇩 Sudan has always been deeper than headlines.
This isn’t new.
This is legacy. 🇸🇴🤝🇸🇩
