Great to speak with @Capitol_Weekly about the last legislative year and the work ahead. From healthcare affordability to housing, early education, and disaster recovery, the Senate is ready to continue its work.

Grateful for our firefighters and emergency personnel as they battle these wildfires around the clock.
If you are in these areas, please stay up to date on all emergency notifications and heed all warnings and evacuation notices.
UPDATE: Thanks to around the clock efforts, including night-flying firefighting helicopters, the #BrysonFire is up to 17% contained and no structures damaged or destroyed.
State resources will continue to support local on the ground efforts to help keep Californians safe.

In the days leading up to an election the President has sent ICE to monitor ballot drop boxes, raided a Congressional candidate’s home, and is attempting to bribe voters.
This is a direct affront to our elections and our democracy.

I was proud to join Latino Leaders United Against Prop 39 to make it clear: our community will not stand by while MAGA Republicans try to make it harder to vote.
We have less than 30 days to stop Prop 39. It adds unnecessary rules that mean more challenged and disqualified ballots — whether you vote by mail or in person. Millions of students, seniors, and working families will have a tougher time voting.
Vote NO on Prop 39.

The No on Prop. 39 Coalition and Latino leaders gathered in LA to get their message to voters ahead of Election Day. State Sen. Monique Limón said requiring voter ID would take away the voice of Californians.

No city or community should be used as collateral damage. These comments and threats do damage and sow distrust and threaten our safety as a country.

Today's ruling from the California Supreme Court upholds democracy. In California, every voter can and should be able to cast their vote free from intimidation or fear.

As Yom Kippur comes to a close, may we carry its lessons of renewal and forgiveness with us into the year ahead. G’mar chatima tovah!
Such an inspiring day at the @dccc’s Power Women’s Lunch with @EleniForCA! It was great to hear from Speaker Pelosi as Dems across the country get ready to win big this November. This election will take every single one of us to win back the House so let’s get organized and vote!

My heart and prayers are with the families and loved ones impacted by these tragic incidents — especially the NBC4 family as they cover the tragic passing of their colleagues and friends.
May they all rest in peace 🕊️❤️
This is a tragic night for Los Angeles. My thoughts are with those impacted by the bus collision and the helicopter crash, and with the entire NBC4 family who lost members of their team while they were doing their jobs.
I’m deeply grateful to our firefighters, paramedics, and police officers who responded immediately to two incredibly difficult scenes to save lives and render aid.
The NTSB will be leading the investigation. Right now, our focus is on the victims, their families and loved ones, and supporting everyone impacted by these tragedies.
