🚨 XBT / Bitcoin Blake2b Mining Update Bitcoin is still trading around $76,000, but there is another Bitcoin story getting a lot of attention from crypto miners right now. 👀 XBT, also called Bitcoin Blake2b, uses the Blake2b mining algorithm instead of the SHA-256 mining used by regular Bitcoin. That means some older Blake2b ASIC miners that were built for coins like Sia can now be used to mine XBT. ⛏️ This has brought new attention to Blake2b mining hardware and hashrate. One VERY important thing to understand: ✅ BTC and XBT are not the same chain. ✅ Regular Bitcoin miners still mine BTC with SHA-256. ✅ XBT uses Blake2b mining. ✅ Mining rewards and profits can change very quickly as more miners join. Bitcoin Blake2b only switched to Blake2b proof-of-work recently, so this is still a very new mining market. The network has already seen large changes in hashrate and mining output.
