#Preds Head Coach Andrew Brunette on the decision to assign Brady Martin to Milwaukee:
“I think just to kind of get him going. He’s been a center-ice man, and we're pretty full in the center position right now. So, we wanted him to go down and play center and see how he does, and get some reps, play big minutes, touch pucks. Especially as a young player here, we don't want to stunt his development by him not playing a lot of games and a lot of minutes right now.”

Game day doesn’t create your habits.
It reveals them.

Athletes don’t need less accountability.
They need better correction.
Give athletes what they N.E.E.D.
Name the behavior.
Explain what must change.
Expect a better response.
Deliver recognition.
Great coaches don't make correction personal.
They make it productive.

Saban never talked about winning.
He talked about the process.
Every rep. Every meeting. Every standard.
Chase the process.

#NYR Matt Rempe on his reaction to Adam Edström trade:
"Obviously, he's my brother. I was over in Sweden with him for a week. Always sad to see him go because we've kind of grown up together and stuff, but it's a business and things happen. I know he's gonna kill it in Nashville, and I'm gonna miss him lots. I know he'll do great. He'll do great."

For Nashville Fans, I was extremely impressed with the play of Alex Huang in the Summer Showcase Game against Finland for Canada. He’s processing the play way faster, getting his passes off much quicker and filling in holes really quickly Defensively. Thought he was Canadas best Two-Way Defender in the game. Great decisions of when to skate with it. He’s added some strength and is a midsized guy I could see fighting his way to the NHL like a Neal Pionk. I’ve always been a fan, but he continues to show signs of impressive development. Plays well in contact too with great four way edging on regroups and transitions. Off to Harvard this Fall. He would be on my World Juniors Roster, but it’s a loaded one.
