Catheter steering is becoming a software problem. 🤖
In 2026, FDA-approved robotic magnetic ablation entered U.S. clinical use [1]. In July, Stereotaxis acquired Robocath, expanding beyond electrophysiology [2].
Now AI, remote collaboration and automated navigation are converging in the cath lab 🫀 [3]. The race is shifting from devices to integrated robotic workflows.
🤔 What will decide adoption: outcomes, workflow, cost, or clinician trust?

Thank you MPP Dr. Lennox for standing up for Ontario patients and Ontario ERs that are over-run. The Ontario government has lost touch with reality. Dr. Lennox cites a clear medical emergency and the Health Minister starts talking about primary care. @RobinLennox
We shouldn’t have critically ill patients being treated in ER waiting rooms.
In Ontario, we do. That’s a policy decision.
We need to change our government, change our policies, and fix our hospitals.

In #MARIPOSA, amivantamab-lazertinib significantly improved overall survival vs osimertinib. Hayashi et al. found that amivantamab-lazertinib reduces common resistance mechanisms vs osimertinib, suggesting that this regimen is changing the underlying biology of EGFR-mutant disease, contributing to both first- and second-line long-term efficacy outcomes.

“This is the part that turns this from just a cell factory into a data factory. This high-dimensional data is the raw material our foundation models learn from. And because it’s this rich, the data is reusable, mined again and again across programs rather than generated once and thrown away.”
Growing disease-relevant cells at scale is only the beginning. In Part 2 of our series on our end-to-end platform, VP of Neuroscience Chris Winrow breaks down how we run genome-scale perturbations and quantify the resulting changes in cellular state.
🔬Using acoustic liquid handlers, we move 2.5-nanoliter droplets of CRISPR-Cas9 reagents into 1,536-well plates, up to 2 million times a week. Crucially, we intentionally randomize these experiments so our machine learning models learn true biology rather than experimental artifacts.
By imaging and sequencing these exact cells, we capture thousands of measurements from a single experiment. This creates a rich, reusable dataset that feeds our AI foundation models today and stays future-proofed for tomorrow.
🚀 Follow along over the coming weeks as we continue this series, covering how Recursion maps biology, optimizes precision drug design, and closes the gap between patient and discovery.

It's day 7 of me trying to start my interventional pain practice and I'm running into an issue by trying to be extra proactive. There are a lot of requirements that are needed to do other steps but those steps can't be done without the requirements.
In this case I need to get malpractice insurance, get my loan fully approved, and get credentialed but I don't really need the malpractice insurance until all of that's done!
This is just one of many issues I've run into starting the practice but there are always solutions. We continued to chug along!
