SANDY, UTAH — MOTORCYCLE CRASH Sandy Police/Fire Dispatched: 8:47 PM 📍 250 E. 10600 S, Sandy Sandy Police and Fire responded to a reported crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle. Upon arrival, crews located an approximately 35-year-old male motorcyclist in the roadway with apparent leg injuries. Additional details indicated the rider possibly had compound fractures to both legs. He was reportedly wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Eastbound traffic is temporarily closed at State Street, and westbound traffic is closed near the TRAX station. This is a developing story. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

LAS RUNWAY EXCURSION A Dassault Falcon 50 Reg: N200SG rejected takeoff on Harry Reid’s Runway 1L Sunday morning (~11 AM), went off the end of the runway and made contact with the perimeter fence. Donnie Wahlberg confirmed he and his team/friends were on board. No injuries. Aircraft took some damage. ADS-B showed peak groundspeed around 121 kts before the abort. Temporary ground stop and runway closures caused delays. Wahlberg: “These pilots saved our lives… we ran out of runway.” Details on what exactly happened have not been disclosed. #UPDATE At approximately 3:15 p.m. today, a three-vehicle crash occurred on northbound I-15 near 600 North. Witnesses reported a black Audi was traveling at a high rate of speed before the driver lost control, striking a red Toyota and a gray Subaru. Following the collision, the Audi, rolled and ejected the driver. The driver of the Audi was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Toyota was also transported to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition. Northbound I-15 was closed for several hours following the crash but has since reopened. UHP pics/info

#WrongWayDriver #Sugarhouse 2000 E I-80 WB. At approx 0110 this morning UHP received reports of a vehicle traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes. Thankfully the vehicle crashed into the center barrier just as Troopers were closing in. No innocent people were hurt. Minutes before this wrong way driver, a fleeing vehicle was traveling at over 130mph through this same area. I’ll post that shortly.

#UPDATE: Canadian Armed Forces confirms four members killed, 39 injured in CFB Wainwright training fire. On October 17 around 4 p.m. MDT, a fire ignited and spread rapidly due to high winds during live-fire training (Exercise APOLLO SHOOTER) involving 3rd Battalion, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry at CFB Wainwright, Alberta. It overtook the unit area. The fallen: • Sergeant Morgan Wong (Loyal Edmonton Regiment, serving with 3 PPCLI) • Private Shaun Farrell (3 PPCLI) • Private Aidan Goulding (3 PPCLI) • Private Hayden Lykkemark (3 PPCLI) 39 additional CAF members were injured (reports indicate 19 in critical condition). The cause remains under investigation; officials have said there are no indications of terrorism or outside interference.
