All are welcome!
“Do not let this opportunity pass you by. Do not view it as just another option among many. These are invitations from our Lord to spend quality time with Him. To rekindle that love.
Today consider your relationship with where you are with God and where you would like to be. Have courage to give yourself to him. Because heaven is not simply a place we hope to enter Heaven is a union of love with God who has already given himself completely to us.” - Fr. David Yallaly
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen

“The most brilliant ideas come from meeting God face to face (at adoration). The Holy Spirit that presided at the Incarnation is the best atmosphere for illumination.” - Blessed Fulton Sheen
Forty Hours Devotion is a special time for our parish every year. It is a time for each of us to come before the Blessed Sacrament and to thank God for his graces, to make reparation to Him for our past sins, to pray for the sick, and to beg God’s protection of our nation.
St. John Cantius Church will hold our annual Forty Hours Devotion beginning Sunday, October 18th through Tuesday, October 20th.

The Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Fatima is one of two “twin” statues sculpted in 1947 by famous sculptor José Thedim. It was made according to the precise instructions of Sister Lucia, one of the visionaries of Fatima. Her desire was that the pilgrim image represent Our Lady’s position when she revealed herself as the Immaculate Heart to the Shepherds in 1917.
Our Lady of Fatima through the Pilgrim Virgin Statue, set forth from Fatima in May, 1947 to claim her dominion and become the Pilgrim of the World, carrying first to devastated Europe after WWII the message of peace. (This first statue was retired and is on display at the Basilica of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal.). On October 13, 1947 in the presence of some 200,000 pilgrims at Fatima, the second “twin” statue was blessed by the Bishop of Liera, Fatima, and commissioned to serve as the Pilgrim Virgin who would carry the blessings of Fatima throughout the world. The Bishop prayed that Mary herself accompany the statue wherever it goes.
The statue has visited more than 100 countries, including Russia and China, bringing the great message of salvation and hope, “the peace plan from Heaven,” to countless millions of people. Many miracles and signal graces have been reported wherever the statue has traveled.
