Exactly what i was saying
🚨🎙️ Roy Keane on Ryan Gravenberch’s Red Card Against Manchester City; 🗣️"Listen, I’m sitting here absolutely flabbergasted by what I’ve just witnessed. We are talking about Liverpool versus Manchester City at Anfield. This isn't a pre-season kick-around, this isn't a mid-table dead-rubber—this is as big as it gets in world football. You’ve got millions watching around the globe, two top-class teams going toe-to-toe, and the entire match gets ruined because the officials want to be the main event. Look at the match context! Ryan Gravenberch was having one of his absolute best games in a Liverpool shirt. He’s driving through the midfield, he’s testing Gianluigi Donnarumma with a cracking strike from range, and then literally seconds later, he makes a recovery challenge in the City half on Jérémy Doku. Was it a foul? Yeah, fine, give a free-kick. But to whip out a second yellow card in the 62nd minute for that? It is an absolute disgrace. The first yellow card early in the second half was soft enough as it was, but to issue a second yellow—effectively killing the entire spectacle—requires a level of common sense and match management that these referees simply don't possess right now. Where is the game management? Where is the understanding of what is at stake? Referee Chris Kavanagh couldn't wait to get his card out. It’s refereeing by a textbook without having a single clue about the emotion, intensity, or context of a massive Premier League fixture. You treat a big game like a big game! You let the players fight it out on the pitch. You don't send a lad off for a minor collision on the halfway line when neither tackle warranted a sending off. And what happens? The moment Liverpool go down to ten men, the entire balance shifts. City take complete control, Erling Haaland scores two minutes later, Doku gets another, and the game is done. The decision-making from the officials today was shocking. It robs the fans, it robs the players, and frankly, it ruins what should have been an iconic battle. They need to start applying some real football intelligence out there instead of hiding behind harsh whistle-blowing."

The game is being destroyed by over reffing. Football is a physical game, as fans we love seeing a good battle on the pitch, a cracking tackle. Look at those two bookings today. The first is debatable if its even a foul, the second is simply a foul. Completely ruined the game.
Gravenberch shouldn't have been booked once, let alone twice. Liverpool robbed, plain and simple

Bizarre take of the day ‘Man City never bought a world class player’ followed closely by ‘Haaland even now isnt world class’ 🤯🤯🤯🤯🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈

Its really simple, the referees are not of a sufficient standard. There are former referees calling it out for what it is. Lack of training, lack of guidance and poor leadership. Why the premier league are allowing this to carry on i have no idea. Games are being decided by it.
🚨 𝗨𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗠𝗢𝗨𝗦: Pundits opinions of the VAR and Haaland goal: 🗣️ Michael Owen: "It's so glaringly obvious that Enzo is offside and he tries to touch the ball. End of story. This is really bad officiating because Man Utd will have to lick their wounds due to a howler from the VAR. It's unbelievable." 🗣️ Joe Hart: I absolutely cannot believe that all the people involved in making this decision they've come up with that Enzo Fernández did not impact the play." 🗣️ Wayne Rooney: "Anyone who’s played the game at any level understands that and knows that he’s in an offside position." 🗣️ Danny Murphy: "It’s a bad one, it is a really bad one. Generally, we try here to give him the benefit of the doubt. But you can’t on this one, I’m afraid." 🗣️ Jaap Stam: "I honestly believe anyone who watched that moment knows it was a clear offside. You don’t need to be an expert in football to see what happened. These are the kinds of decisions that can completely change the outcome of a match." 🗣️ Dimitar Berbatov: "After what happened, we must ask ourselves: Are the referees here not ready or qualified enough to make the right decision at the right moment? Is it that the VAR team don’t prepare themselves? Don’t they get taught all these rules?"

The start of this season has been absolutely shambolic for refereeing in the premier league. Even with video replay they cant get it right. Its so obvious how incompetent they are and its affecting the outcome of matches every week.

This is why people are fed up with refereeing. They explained away last weeks Decision to give a penalty against Allison. Yet in this instance they dont even bother to review it. The exact same situation. No consistency, its brutal. Just making it up as they go along

Absolutely disgraceful profiteering, £433 for a single day watching golf. I have no doubt they will sell out and the demand is there but that is a disgusting hike in cost to the fans.
