Happy #WorldOceanDay!
DYK that the #Ocean holds 60 times more carbon than the atmosphere & has absorbed almost 1/3 of human CO2 emissions?
The ocean is therefore likely to play a critical role in mitigating the effects #CimateChange - we’re working to help find out how.
As expected, a fantastic set of talks, insights & perspectives on #CDR #mCDR implementation scenarios and pathways for 🇪🇺 - plenty for us to think about over the next few years! Particular highlights include the contributions from SEAO2-CDR partners @wilmwilmsen & @DMReinerCamb
Looking forward to a great day of discussions, research highlights & future #CDR #mCDR priorities at the @NEGEMproject final meeting in Brussels, together with the @OceanNETs_EU & Landmarc @HorizonEU projects & guest appearance from @stv_smth @CO2REhub
Delighted to be @UniLUISS for our 1st annual meeting - how time flies! Fantastic to meet all of the new researchers working on the project & to hear about the progress made so far. Looking forward to continuing our discussions tomorrow.
Great to see @DrSDFitzgerald leading a panel discussion wrapping up the end of a fantastic day’s conversation at #OceansOfKnowledge2023, with @bradack1 @JessicaNCross Ed Hill from @NOCnews Jerry Blackford from @PlymouthMarine & Peter Chargin from @planetary_tech
