Of ppl who begin writing a novel, only 3% ever finish. Of those, 1/6000 find an agent. Of THOSE, 1/50 get a book deal.
Combined odds: 1 in 10,000,000.
Yet ~500k to 1M new books are trad pubbed every year.
It CAN happen. Dreams DO come true. DON’T GIVE UP.

Great advice in here, paraphrased:
1. As soon as you get an agent, get a therapist.
2. Ignore your Goodreads account.
