Sudan Doctors Network: RSF Destroys Um Darfa Hospital and Injures Two Medical Staff Members
The Sudan Doctors Network strongly condemns the attack carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) using drones against Um Darfa Hospital in Wad Al-Mahi locality, Blue Nile State, on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The attack resulted in the destruction of the hospital, forcing it out of service, and left two medical staff members seriously injured while performing their humanitarian duties.
Preliminary information indicates that the attack caused extensive damage to the hospital, threatening to deprive local residents and internally displaced persons (IDPs) of essential healthcare services at a time when the region is facing extremely complex humanitarian and health conditions.
The Sudan Doctors Network holds the Rapid Support Forces fully responsible for targeting Um Darfa Hospital and for the resulting damage and injuries among medical personnel. The Network calls for an end to the repeated attacks on healthcare facilities, which have increasingly become direct targets of military assaults.
The Network also calls on the United Nations, the World Health Organization, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to condemn this crime, work to protect healthcare facilities and medical personnel, and ensure that those responsible for violations against the healthcare sector are held accountable.
The continued targeting of hospitals and healthcare centers further deepens the collapse of the health system and puts the lives of thousands of patients and wounded people at risk.

Sudan Doctors Network: RSF Detains Doctor at El Geneina Hospital for More Than Two Weeks
The Sudan Doctors Network condemns the continued detention of Dr. Mubarak Bishara Ahmed, a doctor working at El Geneina Hospital, following his arrest by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) from his home in El Geneina on September 26. No legal grounds for his arrest have been announced, and his place of detention remains undisclosed.

Sudan Doctors Network: The Ethnically Motivated Execution of More Than 25 Civilians in Umm Badr Constitutes a Horrific Crime and a Flagrant Violation of International Humanitarian Law
The Sudan Doctors Network strongly condemns the disturbing footage circulating online, which documents members of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) carrying out the execution of more than 25 civilians in the Umm Badr area of North Kordofan State. The shocking scenes reveal the scale of the violations committed against civilians in areas under the control of these forces. The gravity of this crime is further compounded by indications that the killings were carried out on an ethnic basis, under allegations that the victims were supporting or aligning themselves with the Sudanese Armed Forces.
The Network affirms that the extrajudicial execution of civilians constitutes a grave crime and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and human rights principles. Such acts cannot be justified under any circumstances or military pretexts. Targeting individuals on the basis of their ethnic or social identity, or on the basis of unsubstantiated accusations, represents a dangerous practice that threatens social cohesion and fuels hatred and violence.
The Sudan Doctors Network believes that the perpetrators’ decision to document, publish, and boast about this crime reflects an alarming disregard for civilian lives and for the principles of accountability and justice. It further underscores the urgent need for immediate international action to halt the repeated violations being committed against civilians in conflict affected areas.
The Sudan Doctors Network calls upon the United Nations, international human rights organizations, and relevant international accountability mechanisms to launch an independent and transparent investigation into this crime, identify those responsible, and publicly disclose their identities without ambiguity, in order to ensure that perpetrators of serious violations against civilians do not escape accountability, and to secure justice for the victims and safeguard their rights.
