Bumped into a mate, a few weeks ago he was reaching out.
My shoulders are worn from mates who've been belittled by partners, family or work.
This ANZAC Day I'll be thinking of them along with family who served and nursed.
Photos from ABC series 1915. We were extras. And mates.
When our son marched out at Kapooka his great Uncle attended. He wore his medals from WW2 and was treated like royalty.
He was the lone survivor of his battalion in Borneo and part of the occupying force at Hiroshima.
A wise, funny man who gave lessons to our boy on survival.
I was 16 at the time and these scenes were filmed at Fifield. Most of us had family that had fought in WW1 so we didn't take it lightly. The uniforms and rifles were out of army surplus and some were marked with shrapnel and bullet scars.
I thought of Grandad every day.
The joy of peaceful grazing and watching lambs at play..
Also, it's a long road back but the ewes are in top gear :)

What the hell? We have high tech rural manufacturing companies desperate for skilled workers locals can't supply, those that move here are valued members of the community.
Both they and locals have families overseas they can't sensibly visit. This is madness!

"Australia is in no hurry to open those borders, I can assure you." Scott Morrison says we're not in a position to change from the hotel quarantine system and in a few months from now "we'll see where we are at". #auspol
Saddened by people's 'I'm alright Jack' attitude to the Covid madness.
As in "So glad we travelled a few years ago!" Or "It hasn't affected my job/income."
Our manufacturing desperately need skilled workers.
Many families separated in different countries.
It's bullshit #auspol
Fantastic! I hope you delve into bird deaths around wind turbines because protecting the environment is the new thing.
Also, if there actually isn't a crisis are you still doing a newsletter?
I'm launching a newsletter on climate solutions. 1st edition June 1.

What of the countless men who politely rebute drunk, randy women?

Can't believe that with such a huge body of feed a ewe would get her head stuck in a fence trying to eat the same grass that was beside her.
Still, gave the young Melbourne lad a lift as he spotted her from the back of the ute :)
Ewes lambing, napping ram losing his mates, babysitting chickens, just another slightly crazy weekend..

IMPORTANT. Respected scientist DEPLATFORMED for his research on the harms of masks, in spite of no clear evidence they actually stop Covid, some evidence they make it worse & plenty of evidence they harm. Welcome to the dystopian anti-science hell of 2021 🤮
Prof @denisrancourt has been removed from research gate (where academics publish their papers) for publishing on the harms of masks.
We are in full witch hunt mode now. Science - which by definition requires debate - cannot exist in this environment.
