AFL concerned of the optics to appease Port but nothing about a side deal to appease GC for King?? This league is run by the characters of Sesame Street

"If this five club trade does not get approved, there will be an uproar." @tommorris32 reveals more details on the five club mega trade that has the AFL 'scared'. @Toyota_Aus | #AFLTrade

Why would the Dogs want Marshall on his massive deal if the salary sharing got rejected. That was the reason he was thrown up in the first place.

Bulldogs get their man but have to pay to do so. 🐶 Port get a decent haul for the superstar and get off Marshall's deal until the end of 2029. ⚡ St Kilda lose Mattaes, but open up some cap room and take back a first-rounder, albeit one that won't be top-end. 😇 Who wins? #AFLTrade | #danielsdonuts

They can’t be serious. Clubs should just refuse to trade with them at this point. And if players go the the draft, teams should draft them anyway

"The week leading into the semi-final when Geelong were playing Fremantle in Perth. People at Geelong – felt very strong that Butters would be nominating Geelong, they had very good reasons to believe that...They wake up Saturday morning, and then find out through the media that he had nominated the Bulldogs. They had no line of sight on that. It was a jolt to them." - Damian Barrett #AFLTrade

JDG worth two late first round picks but Bailey Smith was only worth one

Pickers thinks Jordan De Goey could be on the move this trade period, with two-late first rounders a potential asking price. Do you do that deal with one year remaining on his deal, Pies fans? @Repco_Service | #AFLTrade

Ashcroft dominated the last quarter and took control of the game with 5 minutes to go when it was there to be won. If it’s true that the voters for Norm Smith lock in their votes with about 5 minutes to go, it needs to change because of today. Ashcroft was BOG.

They voted for the Norm Smith and when Wharfie Time was rung didn’t they…

Bolton?!?

They may never play Wharfie Time again

Poor understanding from Drummond/Dillon/Swann thinking they can just run over fans with floating possible major changes anymore. Dillon accepting 20min plus time on will remain is an admission the AFL failed to understand their own market.. the fans. There will likely be an adjustment on how time on/off will be assessed next season, plus they should focus on current wastage such as boundary reviews etc that add time.. make it a clear disposal only and not inadvertent touch. Drummond/Dillon/Swann could’ve got in front of this earlier without the bad reaction from fans on the narrative of saving time rather than we’re looking to cut quarter length to 18min.

Bont climbs into 3rd all time for Brownlow votes and also becoming the player with the most 3 vote games in history. A genuine travesty that he will likely never win one 😢

Confirmed side strain for Billy Stanlake. He’s out of the rest of the series v Zimbabwe.

For all the Hawks fans asking ‘what was he supposed to do?’ - if you let the vision run, you see Impey drop the ball onto his foot and kick it away. So, what he actually did in fact do, was what we should have done earlier.

We don’t get that game if Greg Swann gets his way @AFL.

#NFLSuperCoach Do I take Gibbs VC? Or roll the dice with Lamar vs NO or Walker vs IND?

Going to be a tough ask to keep up with the Josh Allen VCers this week in #NFLSuperCoach. Has been a rough fade so far

Not sure this is much better. Fans clearly care about the debate which is why they are all so vehemently against shorter quarters. What a buffoon

The AFL’s footy boss Greg Swann said fans ‘don’t care’ how long games go for. But after 12 hours of backlash, he was forced to walk those comments back. STORY: bit.ly/4yM1v90
