BC Prievidza extended the contract with rookie combo Jalen Smith early until 2028. Exciting prospect, huge upside as a complete guard. Trying to break the endless cycle of one year deals and wholesale roster turnover.
Again following a player over multiple years paid off. Watched him at Troy and during great rookie year in Romania, acquired after difficult ABA campaign with FMP. Reunited him with Troy backcourt teammate Aamer Muhammad.
The fans have spoken. 🗳️
Christyon Eugene is your #FIBAEuropeCup Player of the Week for Game Day 2 after putting up 21 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in BC Prievidza’s 108-84 win over LANDAU Lions. 🔥
He claimed 58% of the votes.
Aleksandrovs is an interesting profile but gotta go with Christyon Eugene here. Numbers don't even reflect how dominant he was in that game. +36 says it all, they should have mentioned that, too
Game Day 2 came with some impressive numbers. Who was your top performer? ⭐️

One of the main recruiting priorities for BC Prievidza this summer was to find a sharpshooting PF 🎯 assignment completed ✅️
BIG win in the capital...orchestrated by a terrific Jordan Wright (23pts/7reb)...followed him since his Vandy days...now finally things materialized...90% of scouting does not lead to an immediate signing but is just intel collection in case an opportunity opens up

It's not luck any more if it happens three years in a row: BC Prievidza with back-to-back-to-back FIBA Europe Cup group stage qualifications
We recommended Justin Kier to Heroes Den Bosch in 2024. After a solid BNXT campaign he vanished in 3rd league Greece last season. THIRD league!!! Now at age 29 he is one of the early surprises of the new BBL season. Career trajectories are not always linear.
🎖 | 20,5 Punkte, 5,0 Assists, 1,5 Rebounds und eine Effektivität von 17: Justin Kier steht A) in der Starting Five der Woche und ist B) zum Player of the Week gewählt worden. Hochverdient, finden wir! 💛

Not saying he was on that level in 22/23 already but some 🇩🇪 "basketball people"'s takes on him have aged like 🥛 ...to not even recognize the upside 🤦♂️
La carta de presentación de Brandon Childress en la #LigaEndesa no ha podido ser mejor 💥

Up 20 at the half...finish the job at home next week
13 of his 46 makes during #BasketballCL qualifiers were mid-range jumpers or middie floaters/runners. Be happy if you have a three-level scorer, don't restrict him to two levels because "middies are low percentage"
ON TOP. 👑
Leland Walker with a generational performance - he is now the highest single-game scorer in the #BasketballCL Qualifiers history.
