Environment Canada has just issued an orange-level tornado watch for areas along the southeastern shoreline of Lake Huron as an explosive severe thunderstorm tracks across the lake right now.
They write: “A severe thunderstorm is pushing across Lake Huron and is expected to reach the Lake Huron shores within the next hour. Conditions within the region are favourable for this thunderstorm to possibly produce tornadoes as well as strong and potentially damaging winds.”
This is a very dangerous storm.
Grand Bend, you are in IMMEDIATE danger. This storm is rapidly approaching the shoreline, and you need to be ready to seek shelter within the next 30 minutes.
Once the storm makes landfall, it is expected to continue inland toward the London area.
Please take this threat seriously and be ready to act immediately if a tornado warning is issued for your location.

Max, respectfully, given your track record for sharing egregiously click-baity content and thumbnails (with your massive audience), you aren't really in a position to speak on what's good for meteorology.
This has been a controversial topic that I probably started, but I think the conversation needs to be had.
1.5 million people under false alarm tornado warnings with no evident rotation will make it so that next time these same people are under a tornado warning, they will probably take it less seriously. That's not a good thing for meteorology.
