A great afternoon for our SCA football teams! ⚽️   Y8 secured their first win of the season, beating Oasis 3-0. POTM went to Sam for an excellent performance and goal. Y9 made it 5 wins from 5 with a 6-2 victory over Walkden. Alex scored a hat-trick and earned POTM. 👏

Celebrating our Gold Readers! 🌟 This morning, students who achieved Gold Reader Status on Sparx Reader enjoyed hot chocolate, cakes and a free book as a reward for their fantastic commitment to reading. 📖👏 #WeAreSCA

Today, No More Knives Tour visited Salford City Academy to share a powerful message about the impact of knife crime and the importance of positive choices. 👏 Thank you to OTC Band for an inspiring performance and for helping spread a message of hope and peace. 💙   #WeAreSCA

Y10 students explored the science behind nutrition by carrying out food tests to identify starch, sugar, fat and protein in food samples. In these photos, students are performing Benedict's test for reducing sugars, where an orange-red colour indicates a positive result. 🧪

As part of our Step-Up transition programme, today we welcomed primary school students from Christ Church and Barton Moss for a Magical Music day! 🎶 They took part in an exciting session with our Head of Music, Miss Jewitt, and showcased great enthusiasm throughout! #WeAreSCA
