Sacking your clients can be good for business.
Back in the early days of launching my first company, I had no idea what I was doing. Sure, I knew how to do all the technical work, but when it came to identifying my ‘ideal client’, well, I had no idea what they might look like.
Despite my business consistently doing 20% month-on-month revenue growth (which is impressive for any business), I was bleeding money.
I was shackled to an unprofitable customer servicing model, a relentless profit-losing machine of my own creation.
It was time for a change.
Here’s how we changed our strategy by 'sacking' bad clients, resulting in higher profits and reduced stress:

In a sea of business reads, it’s rare to find books on accounting.
This is understandable. Publishers tend to play it safe, avoiding number-crunching subject matter that puts most people to sleep.
But "Profit First" is an exception. This book flips accounting on its head.
Profit First by Mike Michalowicz is a book on budgeting, disguised as an ‘accounting hack’. It's perfect for busy entrepreneurs who are craving financial wisdom without the jargon. And it’s so engaging you’ll forget you’re actually learning important stuff.
Over on our blog, you'll find an accountant’s take on the principles of Profit First – and how to weave them into your business and personal finances.

It's been nine months since Elon Musk bought Twitter.
Because launching rockets, digging tunnels and redefining transportation weren’t enough, Musk has taken on yet another seemingly impossible task: turning around the cash-burning bird app.
We were curious, so we decided to crunch the numbers.
In our latest blog, we take a good look into the Twitter takeover to find out whether Musk’s audacious gamble is paying off.
Remember, Twitter is a private company, which means this analysis is solely hypothetical.
Think of it as a ‘what-if’ scenario put together from whatever bits of data we could scrape together.
