We were proud to help out at yesterday’s Kearsarge Memorial rededication, providing chairs, helping with set up, & providing water on a hot day. And we’re thrilled to have a refurbished memorial to honor the service of US naval veterans.

Amazing re-dedication of the Kearsarge Memorial in South Boston today. The anchor was dedicated in 1930 to Navy veterans of the Civil War, Spanish-American War, and WWI. After a major restoration, it's re-dedicated to all Navy veterans.

Honored to join local, state and federal leaders today to rededicate the Kearsarge Memorial at Marine Park to those members of the U.S. Navy who currently serve, have served and have been laid to rest.
The U.S.S. Kearsarge’s history is one to be remembered and celebrated.
Thank you for your support!
It is an absolutely stunning day for the rededication of the USS Kearsarge Memorial! Join us in South Boston to see this beautiful refreshed monument honoring Naval Veterans of the Civil War, the Spanish War, and WWI. While you're there, treat yourself to free @MonstahTruck
In addition to the new federal holiday of Juneteenth, June 19 is the date in 1864 in which USS Kearsarge famously sunk CSS Alabama off the coast of France in the Civil War. We’ll be rededicating the Kearsarge Memorial tomorrow just shy of 158th anniversary of this famous event.
There’s a strong connection between the Kearsarge Memorial & people of South Boston. Next Tuesday there will be a new chapter to that relationship with the memorial rededication at 1130.
Programming note: the time for next Tuesday’s rededication has changed from noon to 11:30AM. Hope to see you all there!
Great to see this great memorial refurbished & rededicated. The restoration was done by Skylight Studios, who is also behind the USS Kearsarge Memorial refurbishment
The memorial honors the all-Black civil war soldiers of the Massachusetts 54th and Col Robert Gould Shaw. It underwent a 3-million dollar renovation #wcvb
