Tomorrow is Judgement Day - 9am is when the verdict will be delivered be the Constitutional Court regarding the CAB and PPAB!!🎭🙏🏾🇿🇦 #ActorsRights #SAGA
SAGA sat with young performers at AMPLIFY - and we listened. To their frustrations. Their hopes. The things the industry hasn’t made easy. It was honest. It was necessary. Today we honour the youth of 1976✊🏾Your voice has always been the most powerful thing in the room.
The Youth need to be heard.
The Youth need to be nurtured.
The Youth need to be given opportunities.
The Youth needs to be protected.
This June, we prioritise our Youth🎭✊

[ON AIR] Parliament has vowed urgent intervention after a protest by film and television workers exposed what industry leaders describe as a near-collapse of South Africa’s screen sector. The Save SA Film Jobs protest outside Parliament in Cape Town forced lawmakers to acknowledge deep administrative failures and commit to emergency talks with government and industry stakeholders. Hi, @artzahelpdesk. Parliament isn't directly involved in this. The Department of Employment & Labour is the lead organisation. Input should be sent directly to them. You may want to liaise with @SAGActors, who have been instrumental in pushing for labour rights for creatives.
A massive thank you to every SAGA member and non-member who showed up in Cape Town today in support of our industry 🎭 If you work in film & television, this affects all of us. Unity is our power.🙌🏾✨ #saga
