This three-day summit will bring together California’s climate adaptation and resilience leaders to share innovative solutions, emerging research, and best practices that are shaping a more resilient future for our communities.

The Summit is being organized by the Governor’s Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation, Climate Resolve @ClimateResolve, and Farallon Strategies, with core support from The David and Lucile Packard Foundation @PackardFdn, Resources Legacy Fund @ResourcesLF and Resilient Cities Catalyst.

New data released by the CA Department of Finance shows Placer County as the fastest-growing county in CA by population, Yuba County is a close second. Roseville, Folsom, and Elk Grove made the top 10 list of fastest growing cities.

A few times a year, SACOG hits the road to learn more about the unique areas across the Sacramento region. Last week, board members went on a tour of West Sacramento followed by the board meeting at Sutter Health Park. It was an informative and insightful exploration of the city!

Regional BDC heard from James Corless and Jill Gayaldo, Chair of Sacramento Area Council of Governments, on housing and transportation priorities. @SACOG Blueprint targets 10K homes annually while programs like Green Means Go support regional growth.
Applications for SACOG’s Youth Leadership Academy are due on March 1! YLA is a free hybrid program for high school students in El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, or Yuba counties. No experience required, just curiosity!
