I loved my school library & moved on to a lifetime of visiting the public library & reading voraciously. Save school libraries! They are a gateway to lifelong learning & contribute immensely to being able to write effectively.

Love to my queer and two-spirit and trans and non-binary people today. We are seeds, we are spores, we are roots and branches. We are mycelium. We are light, and spark, and flame. We are rage and sorrow and joy. We are. – at London, Ontario

We value all of our staff and recognize the important contributions of our CUPE staff. We support a fairly negotiated settlement as the path forward, and not a legislated and imposed collective agreement on staff and Boards. Hoping for positive news today.

Let's not forget that Ford had no issue giving 73 MPPs on his side of the House a pay bump of $16,000.
But education workers earning $40,000 or less are greedy and unreasonable?
Make it make sense, @fordnation.

While Doug Ford hoards billions, he tells the lowest paid education workers the cupboard is bare.
Now he’s willing to trample their rights with legislation rather than raise the wages of the people who support students and schools every day.
Ontario deserves better. #onpoli

Happy Sunday 🎵🎶: Enjoy this beautiful lullaby sung by Mahoor Mehdikahni to his baby boy.

Have found an art form that combines 2 of my favourite things: mathematics & hand stitching! English paper piecing is aesthetically geometrical, wonderfully meditative and visually beautiful 🤗🧵(and bonus: it is eminently portable—perfect feet up in the back garden handcraft!)
So much horticultural abundance after almost 6 months of Winter and a very cool Spring 🎉🌿🌞 #gardenshour
The importance of creating and maintaining supportive communities in the world of game developers (and really, wouldn’t we all benefit from a safe space for supporting creativity?!)
[Also, a proud parent moment ❤️

The trauma that every teacher, staff member and student experience when there is a monthly active shooter drill is something that every politician and member of Congress should have to go through.
A lockdown in the middle of a speech or press conference, then you’d know.
And so it begins!
