This recording is one of the high pinnacles of Autechre. Astonishing to listen to. How are they still this good, the best they have ever been? autechre.warp.net/release/47…

Listening to this while I sit outside with a drink feeling the wind and watching the trees. Breathing. You can survive this.

the thing you need to understand about Autechre is that they make some of the densest most inscrutable electronic music and yet at their core they’re really just old school hip hop heads who love breakdancing and graffiti and turntable scratching

Music journalism and any writing about art that approaches it with depth and sincerity is worth treasuring, and it is always important to be honest about how a piece of art sits with you. The best “response” to any review is to write one yourself.
