I think the dsa does well by having "cadre" electeds wherein cadre means the elected goes all out for their chapter priorities - i dont think what a thousand totally unrepresentative delegates vote on in Chicago every 2 years should really stand to inform local chapters at all

Maybe a little self-awareness, @neeratanden. Look through your own feed. Throughout the Wisconsin Primary up to the election you’re trashing one candidate & we asked you to please keep it down. I agree going after each other at certain times is bad. But may I suggest a mirror?
Lotta respect for you @rokhanna, but your desire to attack future rivals is not more important than the most important midterms of our lives. Totally awesome for you to offer your stump speech on Nov 4th. Eyes on the prize - I beg of you.

I finally saw the 1st paragraph screenshot of the Larry David piece. Critical that he says these aren't DSA proposals these are his proposals if he were to join The DSA. i choose to believe its a Digger like metacommentary on his generations inability to satirize youth

As long as we’re talking about anecdotal experience… I approached the elevator at the Dupont metro with my 2 year old in a stroller in afterschool hours recently, and the crowd of teens stepped aside, with one boy saying “let Mom go first” so I mean, experience may vary
Dupont metro stop is often crowded with kids after school— being rowdy and smoking in public. It’s become a problem and there’s usually police stationed there. This was on a random afternoon at the end of August ⬇️ Teen takeovers are running the city.

Apparently my attempt to make amends with conservative democrats by sending them free cocaine on behalf of DSA has not been as well received as I hoped
