In 2023, I went through several stages of interviews with a popular Fintech company in the UK after my first Master’s. I made it to the final round, and they said it was between me and one other candidate. I was even told I was the preferred choice. But eventually, they didn’t go ahead with me. That rejection pushed me to go all in on my own company, The AI Colony which I had started a few months earlier but hadn’t fully committed to yet. That same month, I decided to give it everything. Then, I also made the decision to go for my second Master’s in Artificial Intelligence at King’s College London, one of the most world’s most prestigious schools. Since then, we’ve worked with over 450 clients. Our one week revenue today equals what that Fintech role would’ve paid me in a year. We’ve built a team of 20+ amazing people, multiple subsidiaries, and products with users from over 190 countries. Our community, every client we serve and every milestone we reach reminds me that everything worked out for good. Building something that creates opportunities for others, helps our team grow, and changes lives would always the most fulfilling part of it all. Each time I see the ripple effect of that decision, I’m reminded that the rejection was simply redirection toward something far greater than I could ever imagine!
