EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: A robot is now harvesting iceberg lettuce at speeds comparable to human crews. @SamiRobotics has demonstrated what it says is one of the world's first autonomous iceberg lettuce harvests at @reservoirfarms. The startup is building a multifunctional robotic platform designed to automate multiple agricultural operations, starting with harvesting crops such as broccoli, romaine lettuce, artichokes, and cauliflower, with plans to expand into weeding, thinning, fertilizing, and pest control.

$SIVE is off to a solid start today. Still, I find it interesting how often it opens sharply higher, looks ready for a breakout, and then gets pushed back down during the first few hours of trading.

NEW MODEL: Google enters the in-context prompting race! Gemini 4 Argon is Google's latest frontier model, offered through the Interactions API in AI Studio, the paid Gemini API tier and Antigravity. The robotics claim attached to the launch is a pipeline Google calls Video-to-Sim-to-Real: Argon watches a video of a person doing a task, reconstructs the room and the objects in it as a MuJoCo scene, writes Python that generates and tests candidate motions inside that scene, then runs the result on hardware. The launch demo is cornhole, the beanbag-into-a-hole lawn game, on Apptronik's Apollo humanoid. Google claims the loop compresses weeks of manual simulation modeling into a few hours. What i find interesting is that the video Argon learned from was shot by the robot. The operator's prompt is legible on screen in the console, the telemetry panel labels the reference footage, and a log line records the details. So the input is an egocentric capture the robot took of a colleague standing in its own lab, next to the board it was about to throw at, from a head camera whose extrinsics the system already knows.

⚙️Two grooves. ONE pass👀 Who said grooving has to mean multiple passes? Watch a special TungMeister head machine two small grooves simultaneously in a SUS304 stainless steel tube sheet! 🔩 Cutting conditions: • Material: SUS304 / 304 stainless steel • Cutting speed: 150 m/min • Feed: 0.03 mm/tooth • Groove depth: 0.5 mm • Tool diameter: Ø13 mm • Machine: BT40 💡 Sometimes, rethinking the tool geometry can simplify the entire operation! 💬 Machinists, have you ever combined multiple features into a single machining pass? . . . #CNC #Grooving #Milling #StainlessSteel #Machining #Engineering #CuttingTools #Manufacturing

i added the thighs. but i'm just messing around here, moots. shaping brackets to connect motors is only like 10% of building a robot. an mcu could go in the head i guess but this doesn't have space for a battery anywhere. and these servos aren't really strong

If you use AI to avoid thinking, you are going in the wrong direction. Use it to become more capable without giving up your judgment. AI can expand what you can examine and imagine. Let that additional capacity make you more curious, not more passive. Microblog by @antgrasso Saving time on routine tasks is useful, but accepting an AI output as a decision already made is another matter. Consider a team redesigning a customer service process. AI can examine patterns across many requests and suggest alternatives the team might not have considered. Good. Now you have more to evaluate. One proposal may reduce waiting times while making it harder for some customers to speak with a person. Would you accept that compromise? Ask AI to help examine the consequences, too. Then decide what better service means and which alternative to pursue. The responsibility for the outcome remains with people. #AIAugmentation #HumanCenteredAI
