It’s very frustrating seeing Irish boxing back in the limelight and the likes of undefeated light-welterweight, Ryan O’Rourke (13-0) and others not in the mix, currently. My word, the politics this bloke has had to endure would make most fighters pack in and leave the sport. Add into the mix, his teammate and close friend, John Cooney passing away. It’s been setback after setback.
4 fights, a week or so before fight night, were scrapped last year in America. No joke, the biggest fight of his career against, undefeated American, Alex Vargas (14-0) was also postponed a few months back, due to Vargas being involved in a car accident.
The mad thing was, the person who was in the accident worked at the venue this fight was meant to take place at and they wouldn’t Vargas fight there. hopefully it will happen next month.
The frustrating thing is, I know how good Ryan is. I’ve seen him more than hold is own in sparring against world title challengers and British champions etc. He would fight Pierce O’Leary & Seán McComb with a smile on his face. O’Leary wouldn’t run through him like he did with Maxi Hughes. I’m telling you that now!! But these fighters are far more ahead of him at the present. He needs to make them fight him.

A guy was in a bar about as drunk as it's possible to get.
A group of guys notice his condition and decide to be good Samaritans and take him home.
First they stand him up to get to his wallet so they can find out where he lives, but he keeps falling down. He fell down eight more times on the way to the car, each time with a real thud.
After they get to his house, he falls down another four times getting him to the door.
His wife comes to the door, and one guy says, "We brought your husband home."

November 23rd is the second anniversary of the Parnell Street stabbings, one of the worst days in Irish history.
Riad Bouchaker, a Muslim migrant from Algeria, stabbed 3 kids and their teacher while they stood outside school in Dublin.
After the high profile murders of Ashling Murphy, Aidan Moffitt and Michael Snee in 2022, (all killed by migrants) Ireland was already a nation in shock.
But on November 23rd 2023, our country changed forever because people realised even children aren't safe in the new multicultural Ireland.
2 years later, the trial hasn't started yet and we still don't know what he looks like.
