🆘🆘 VIOLETA (ID 262841), 3 YO, FEMALE – IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 8/19/2026, with the surrender reason stated as animal behavior - escapes from fence/enclosure. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 10/20/26 ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️ 🆘🆘 2ND Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 61 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ VIOLETA IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - She is not thriving in the care center and continues to display challenging behavior during interactions. She is extremely intelligent and high energy, and needs to expend energy constructively with interactive play sessions 3-4X/day. In addition to playtime, this cat would also benefit from mental exercise from activities such as puzzle toys/games, lick mats, or clicker training. Without providing activity for her mind and body, the cat may react with rough play, potentially resulting in bite/scratch incidents. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 Violeta is an independent, initially shy girl who has made wonderful progress during her time at the Care Center. While she can be fearful and may hiss or swat when overwhelmed, she has shown that she is capable of building trust with patient, gentle interactions. She now enjoys head pets and cheek rubs, leans into affection, and has even started seeking attention from staff at the front of her kennel. She also enjoys treats and has shown interest in playtime. Violeta would do best with experienced cat parents who understand that she may need time to adjust and feel secure in a new home. With patience, a calm environment, and the opportunity to interact on her own terms, she has the potential to continue blossoming. A home without young children is recommended. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you
