Pennsylvania students participate in over 130 evacuation/fire drills during their K-12 schooling. 🔥 Our graduates will have spent more than 26 hours practicing how to exit a building.⌛️This DOES NOT include Run, Hide, Fight drills. @PADeptofEd Is this practical? @erichagarty
Happy 71st Birthday to our First Lady Dr. Jill Biden @FLOTUS who is also an educator! In 2013 she invited me to the Vice President’s Residence for a reception. Here’s what she had to say about my classroom:
Promethean World recognized my media program during their Classroom Stories Competition and awarded me a 4K, 86-inch ActivPanel. Thank you @Promethean! See more here: prometheanworld.com/news-art…

@tonyvincent
I'm using new graphic editing tools and resources from @TonyVincent's #ClassyCreations course to update my mock interview teaching materials. Loving this color scheme! #TeacherSchool #SummerLearning
I had perfect attendance in 1st grade because I loved my teacher and never wanted to miss her class. Everyone needs a Miss Worokey in their life!

Whatever team drafts Alabama's Najee Harris is getting a special person. Today he threw a draft party for kids at the homeless shelter where he lived for several years growing up. He told me it was emotional the first time he went back to visit. @kron4news #NFLDraft #RollTide
My partner Kaylon is volunteering with the @covidcareforce in Gallup, NM vaccinating people of the Navajo Nation at homeless shelters, dentition centers, rehabilitation facilities, clinics, and even house calls on the reservation. I'm so proud of him! @DrBiden @MichaelLaRosaDC

As important as it was, this verdict was not justice. If George Floyd had justice, he would be alive today. But this verdict will, I hope, fuel the faith of everyone who believes that justice is possible.
This is not the end. Let’s insist it is just the beginning.
Happy Women's History Month! Special thanks to @giselefetterman for chatting with my students--what an empowering story and uplifting message! Watch here: youtu.be/m1LtxmwCkVg #WomensHistoryMonth @SwiftFoxMedia
We need to stop using racial slurs like “Jap” and “Oriental” because these words have the power to hurt my Asian students and friends. Quick public service reminder for educators, friends and family who weren’t aware: @JACL_National #JACL
Dear @SnapfishUS Where can I find embellishments of black and brown girls like the ones you feature in the photographs on your website? All I'm finding is white girls, and this is disheartening. #BlackTwitter #BlackLivesMatter #Snapfish
I'm disgusted by @bjupress textbooks and their dishonest lies about history. What do you think @BarackObama? #BlackLivesMatter #Obama #BlackTwitter huffpost.com/entry/christian…
