From a football standpoint, Jalen Hurts should be able to recover after three months of treatment. The blood clot was "provoked" which means there was a cause -- getting cleated in his calf.
That indicates it is a solvable issue with treatment and care

Since I've seen a mix of different reporting on it, the expanded 24-team playoff is expected to feature 19 at-large bids, the 4 Power Four champions and 1 highest-rated Group of Six team, sources told @CBSSports.
The move to 24 teams isn't official yet but it could be soon.
