Sagal is a British citizen who has dedicated her life to public service. She is the elected leader of Camden council, a community where she grew up and has lived for 35 years. I am proud to have worked with Sagal, she embodies the best of our values. She is a volunteer, school governor, serves her community with dedication and is an outstanding example of British success. This kind of social media post is dangerous and insulting. It ignores Sagal’s hard work and talents and the achievements of many people like her. Proud British citizens with roots abroad teach in our schools, care for the elderly, work in our NHS, start businesses and contribute so much to their communities and the country they love.
