This is an explainer from the New York Times about our NHS - its origins through to today. If you support the NHS then pls watch it and share it
The only point I would add is that there are now a dozen "NHS" health services around the world...Norway and Iceland are the new best
Dear 🇬🇧,
Do you want to understand why your NHS is collapsing? Take 7 minutes to watch this and then share with friends, family, and your MP. This assault on our health must end now.

Wonderful to see scientists who laid the groundwork for mRNA vaccines receive the highly prestigious #NobelPrize
(And I know its a sideshow but the fact this will infuriate people who think mRNA vaccines are the root of all evil , just makes it all the more satisfying)
BREAKING NEWS
The 2023 #NobelPrize in Physiology or Medicine has been awarded to Katalin Karikó and Drew Weissman for their discoveries concerning nucleoside base modifications that enabled the development of effective mRNA vaccines against COVID-19.

Thanks to the Consultants on night shift tonight keeping patients safe whilst our colleagues complete their strike for fair pay.
My concern is that the government and @SteveBarclay are simply not listening and that this will be just the first of many strikes to come

Our NHS junior doctors are the backbone of the medical workforce. We need them. You need them. We’ve cancelled all
clinics. 1/4 have suicidal thoughts. 1/5 depressed. 30% don’t make it to a senior position. Is the media disinterested, or have I missed something? This matters.
