Nine Black women found dumped like trash across Ekurhuleni since July. Naked. Half-naked. Wrapped in sheets. Stab wounds. Throats cut. Bruised. Signs of sexual violence. One of them, Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgomo, 38, left her eight-year-old daughter at home for an afternoon run and never came back. That is monstrous. No one with a soul looks at that and shrugs. So they spend R184,000 on a giant purple billboard in Joburg to scream “WOMEN ARE BEING MURDERED IN SOUTH AFRICA. NO BUSINESS AS USUAL.” Fair. Femicide is a national disgrace. Now explain why the same country that can find the money and the outrage for that billboard treats White farm murders like background noise. AfriForum just released another report on 47 farm attacks. Recurring torture. Boiling water. Blowtorches. Waterboarding. Suffocation. Bound, beaten, burned, stabbed, strangled to make them hand over the safe keys and the firearms. Not “robbery that got out of hand.” Deliberate, sadistic, prolonged pain inflicted on isolated White families on their own land while the government calls it ordinary crime. SAPS will tell you there was only one farm murder from April to June. AfriForum’s numbers and the weekly lists tell a different story; attacks keep coming, the violence is getting more lethal, and the political class still pretends the white crosses on the hillside are an embarrassment instead of a crime scene. They will put up a billboard for nine women in two months. They will not put one up for the White farmers who get the same treatment, or worse, year after year, with the added soundtrack of “Kill the Boer.” Nine women murdered is horrendous. Farm torture and murder of White South Africans is also horrendous. The difference is one gets a R184,000 billboard and presidential statements. The other gets “it’s just crime” and another docket that goes nowhere. That is a hierarchy of whose bodies count.
